The Planeta Kino network, launched in 2008 in Kyiv, was the first in Ukraine to open halls with Canadian IMAH technology. Since 2013, it has also been presenting South Korean 4DX film technology. Planeta Kino also introduces its own technologies: CINETECH + and RE’LUX. As of August 1, 2019, the network has 8 cinemas with 59 screens.
Planeta Kino is a leader in innovation in the film market of Ukraine. Among the company’s achievements:
were the first Ukrainian cinemas to sell tickets online through the site;
the first in the world to develop a procedure for access to the cinema without printing a ticket – it can be shown from the smartphone screen;
the first mobile application among cinemas in Eastern Europe;
the first cinemas;
the first in the country to realize the opportunity to buy discounted tickets on the site;
were the first among cinemas and entertainment establishments in Ukraine to launch a loyalty program for visitors.
